Vancid Capsule
VANCID CAPSULE contains extract of various herbs like Phyllanthus fraturnus, Asparagus racmosus, Glycyrrhiza glabra, Withania somnifera and Trifla, which works on different etiology of stomach acidity and ulcers to give permanent treatment of various gastric problems.
Phyllanthus fraturnus (Bhumiamalaki)
- It contains phyllanthin & hypophyllanthis as an active element
- It helps to tone liver and due to antioxidant effect it protects gastric mucosa
Withania somnifera (Ashwagandha)
- It contains wihtanolides and withaferine as an active element
- It removes anxiety (mental stress) and improves immunity
Glycyrrhiza labra (Yastimadhu)
- It contains glycyrrhizin as an active element
- It inhibits enzymes that metabolize prostaglandin E2 and thus protects gastric mucosa degradation.
Trifla
- It contains tannins and ascorbic acid as an active element
- It has astringent, antibacterial, anti-oxidant and purgative properties
- Causes protein precipitation, helps to remove infection and constipation
Asparagus racemosus (Satavar)
- It contains triterpenoids as an active elements
- It is having wound healing property and increase wound healing
Indications: Acute or Chronic acidity, Gastric ulceration, Burning Micturation, Fever.
Dose: 2 capsule two times a day at empty stomach (1 to 2 hr before meal) with water.
Advantage: No side effects like gynacomastia, decreased libido, erectly dysfunction and impotency as observed with proton pump inhibitors like omeprazole, rabiprazole, lansoprazole etc (WHO Drug Information, Vol 20, No.1, 2006, page no. 17)
